Tom Varndell commits to Wasps

Prolific try-scoring winger Tom Varndell has committed his future to , signing a new contract extension this week.
leading try-scorer Varndell, who is dreaming of an England recall, is enjoying the best start of the season in his career having already crossed the whitewash 13 times, including a 13-minute hat-trick last week against Mogliano.
Since joining the Men in Black from in 2009, Varndell has scored nearly 50 tries in 89 appearances and he is chasing down another superb record as he sits just five tries off Mark Cueto and Steve Hanley’s joint Premiership record of 75.
Varndell, who revealed the news on Twitter and Youtube, said: “I’m really excited to be here for the next few years.
“The group of players we have here know what it’s like when the going gets tough and I think we are all the stronger for what we went through last season. Now things are looking up and we’ve got a fantastic squad of players here who I believe can really achieve something together in the coming seasons.
“You only have to look around you at some of the young talent we have coming through and some of the experience that has organised around that, to get excited about what is to come. I am loving my this season and the type of rugby that we are playing at is fantastic when you’re a winger.”
London Wasps Director of Rugby Dai Young added: “Tom has played a big part in our improvement this season and his finishing is second to none. I am really pleased he’s going to be a Wasps player for the foreseeable future.”
