Bath duo Matt Banahan and Lee Mears have seen their appeal against their recent ban rejected today in London.
Centre Banahan was banned on Tuesday for three weeks following the red card he received for a high tackle on Leicester Anthony Allen. He will be able to play again on December 23.
Hooker Mears was cited after the same game on Saturday for striking or punching an opponent and was banned for two weeks as a result. He will be free to play again on December 17
London Irish No.8 Chirs Hala’ufia also appealed against the five-week ban he received for a tip tackle on London Welsh Seb Jewell, an offence he pleaded not guilty to.
His case is still under review and an outcome is expected tomorrow.
