IN the Regional 1 Championship, Syston were awarded an away walk over at Scunthorpe to go level on points with Oundle at the top of the table.
Both table toppers are yet to play this season in a worrying look for the tournament. Oundle were handed back-to-back walk overs against Bromsgrove both home and away, while yesterday’s unfulfilled fixture was preceded by a home walk over also against Scunthorpe.
Last weekend’s action saw Huddersfield get off to a winning start 31-17 at home to Wirral, while Brixham beat Barnstaple 47-38.
