TV adverts are a mixed bag, but at their best they paint a picture that nails an irksome aspect of modern life, but manage to do it with a dollop of humour.
One such is a betting ad which shows a long-suffering punter at a stadium fast food van staring at a cremated offering, that was once a burger, in an open white bap.
There are no trimmings. No onion, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, tomato sauce. The van man says “That’s £17”.
