That’s a bit harsh on Colin

IT can be cruel what distinguished former internationals get remembered for and there is a case in point this week with the passing, aged 82, of Colin McFadyean.
As McFadyean, below, always said, if he were to write an autobiography, he would entitle it “The man who kicked the ball to Keith Jarrett” for he was indeed the man whose loose kick upfield at Cardiff Arms Park in 1967 was fielded at full pelt by the 18-year-old debutant who then sprinted down the left wing for the most glorious of tries.
