ALL good things come to those who wait. The Ulster Schools Cup is normally listed as the world’s second oldest rugby competition behind the Hospitals Cup with the first winners coming in 1876, and Wallace HS from Lisburn finally landed their first win last Monday – St Patrick’s Day – by beating Royal Armagh 24-15.
It was their seventh appearance in the final having lost five previous showdowns and being denied an opportunity to win silverware in 2020 by Covid when they had also fought their way to the final game, ironically also against Armagh.
