A few weeks ago, this column reached the startling conclusion that despite masses of evidence to the contrary, the words “rugby” and “governance” were not quite mutually exclusive. And here’s the proof!
The decision to fill the one remaining hole in this summer’s British and Irish Lions itinerary by pulling together a “First Nations and Pasifika XV” and running it against the visitors in the middle of the Test series against the Wallabies is a terrific move.
