EBBW Vale moved back to the top of the table as they successfully defended the ‘Challenger Shield’ for a fourth time at Eugene Cross Park with a 20-5Gwent derby win over Newport.
The Steelmen leapfrogged Cardiff to take a one-point lead with five games to play.
