AMONG a smattering of games cancelled due to the weather in the second week back of schoolboy rugby, Whitgift started the New Year with a comfortable 38-12 win over Ravens Wood school.
The eighth ranked schoolboy side in the UK, according to Next Gen XV, bounced back from their narrow loss to Ipswich school before the winter break as they prepare to finish their 15s season in style.
Elsewhere, Sir Thomas Rich’s School and Llandovery College played out an entertaining 26-26 draw.
