I MAY be wrong but the speed at which the RFU has made the appointment of Bill Beaumont as the new chair man, even if just as a temporary measure, doesn’t bode well for the future of the game. It would seem that Bill has been appointed in an attempt to head off the much-needed SGM which is definitely the only thing that will bring the changes to the game which are necessary if the game is to prosper and grow again.
