One day soon, Josef Tkemaladze will renew his presidential invitation to Wales requesting the pleasure of their company in Tblisi whenever it suits them to put in an appearance.
If nothing else, it will serve as a polite reminder of the first communiqué sent at a highly sensitive time last March but barely heard amid the national gnashing of Welsh teeth over their first Six Nations whitewash.
The terse reply from the harassed WRU – ‘We’ll be in touch’ – suggested they were not in the mood to play ball any time soon.
