Northampton Saints won in South Africa for the first time in their history by beating the Bulls away in Pretoria 30-21 courtesy of England international Tommy Freeman’s brace of tries.
Northampton held out in the face of the Bulls’ power with George Hendy and Juarno Augustus scoring before Freeman’s match-sealing double.
English sides continued their supremacy over South Africa as Leicester Tigers thumped the Sharks 56-17, while Harlequins demolished the Stormers 53-16 with Caden Murley and Alex Dombrandt scoring hat-tricks.
