GORDON’S beat 12-time champions Hartpury 34-24 to win their first ever ACE League title at Sixways Stadium.
Gordon’s, the Harlequins-associated side, faced the unenviable task of facing ACE League specialists Hartpury, who had a nothing-to-lose attitude going into the game having scraped their way into the final off the back of their worst-ever season in the competition’s 15 year history.
