SALE have appointed Byron McGuigan as defence coach following Jamie Langley’s departure to Leeds Rhinos.
McGuigan, 35, has been on Sale’s coaching staff for the past season since retiring after seven years playing for the club as wing or centre. He also won 10 caps for Scotland.
McGuigan, who has been in charge of Sale for their Premiership Cup games, said: “My passion is defence. The challenge for me is to make our defence effective and bring back our Sharks DNA, physicality, hard work and togetherness.”
