Wales head coach Warren Gatland indicated that he was still in the dark as to his future but despite a 12th successive loss, he will have been buoyed by his side’s best performance of the Autumn Series.
They were still defeated 45-12 by the reigning world champions South Africa and were it not for a last-minute converted try from James Botham, they would have suffered their worst-ever defeat in Cardiff but that statistic only tells half a story.
