Once again, England fail to use their loaf

In a match both sides tried hard to lose, England succeeded.
It was their fifth defeat in a row and in all five they had held the lead at some point in the second half. Their capacity to trip themselves up is unrivalled.
It seems they are never more vulnerable when victory is stretching out its hand, but while it is one thing to lose late on to the likes of New Zealand and in France, it is another when the opponents two months before shipped 67 points to Argentina in Santa Fe.
