A POSITIVE start to Macclesfield’s season has faded slightly in the last couple of weeks, while Devonport were without a win – so this was a basement battle!
The visitors took first blood with an early maul over, but that rallied Macc who scored two tries during a long period of dominance, with Winterburn and Adu crossing to make it 12-7.
Devonport weren’t about to fold and came back with a well-worked try through Goldstone.
