HULL Ionians deserved their bonus-point win with their creative play creating space, while Tigers took the route one approach gaining ground but little threat.
The hosts should have scored three times in the first 20 but the passes just wouldn’t go to hand.
Tigers made one good early attack when a Mark Ireland cross-kick reached James Norman to score, Ireland converting and adding a penalty just before the break.
