Robbie Smith’s patience paid off in the summer when he made his debut for Scotland and the Northampton hooker hopes that making more appearances for the Saints will put him in contention for next month’s Test series.
The 26-year-old, who joined Northampton from Newcastle two years ago after stints with Glasgow and Bedford, vied for a place in the match-day 23 last season with Curtis Langdon and Sam Matavesi.
