EMERGING Ireland started their tour of South Africa with a 3624 win over the Pumas in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.
Zac Ward, who has returned to 15s from sevens after impressing at the Olympics, scored Ireland’s first try. He said: “That’s the first 80 minutes of rugby I’ve played in a very long time. Slowly I’m starting to find my feet on the left wing. It’s only been a month now that I’ve been doing it.”
