Having finally established himself as Wales’ number one No.1, Gareth Thomas, above, is determined to hold on to the jersey.
The Ospreys prop was first in the national squad back in 2017, but it’s in the past 12 months – since moving into his 30s – that he has really nailed down the loosehead berth.
He has started 10 of the last 11 Test matches, getting the nod ahead of the likes of Corey Domachowski, Nicky Smith, Rhys Carre, Wyn Jones and Kemsley Mathias.
“It hasn’t been an easy journey because of injuries and the competition I have had,” said the 31-year-old.
