WITH the Pirates gearing up for the new Championship season, many believed they may have held a little in reserve against a Carmarthen side slightly ahead in their pre-season preparations – but that didn’t play out.
The hosts did make a brighter start, coming out of the blocks at breakneck speed. Harrison Griffiths was the man to surge over from close quarters but just as they looked to put their foot on the gas, the response from the Pirates was clinical.
