I WAS most interested in Brendan Gallagher’s article last week on French rugby and spending 16 years in the wilderness.
In particular, the last Championship match with England on Easter Monday 1931.
I have a number of old rugby magazines from that period and three of them contained four-page inserts which involved the France vs England game.
I swear they had not seen the light of day.
