AFTER World Rugby confirmed the qualification process for the 2027 World Cup, frustration among South American nations was tempered only by the fact that they were expecting nothing better.
A period of unprecedented progress for the region has seemingly been overlooked.
Aside from already-qualified Argentina, South America has only one guaranteed spot that the likes of Uruguay, Chile, and Brazil must fight for.
