EXETER Chiefs have been dealt a second injury blow ahead of the new Premiership season with lock Dafydd Jenkins sidelined.
He will miss the start of the campaign after having surgery on his knee and shoulder.
The 21-year-old picked up the knee injury while on international duty with Wales in the Summer Tour to Australia. Jenkins has since been suffering from a sore shoulder rotator cuff injury.
England centre Henry Slade will also miss the beginning of the season after shoulder surgery.
