Australia beat Great Britain 36-5 in their second match. Heather Cowell opened the scoring for after ‘s break, but Maddison Levi soon levelled. She added two more to take her personal tally to seven, followed by Bienne Terita, Teagan Levi and Nathan.

GB secured their first win against 2112. Amee Leigh Murphy Crowe opened the scoring for Ireland, but GB hit back from the following kick-off, a Meg Jones offload releasing Isla Nor man-Bell. Murphy Crowe added her second but Jasmine Joyce hit back and Emma Uren sealed victory.

Ireland recovered to beat South Africa 38-0, tries from Béibhinn Parsons, Stacey Flood, Vicki Elmes Kinlan, Eve Higgins and Murphy Crowe.

South Africa led 12-0 against GB but a double for Joyce and tries either side of the break from Grace Crompton and Isla Nor man-Bell gave GB the 26-17 win to secure their place in the quarters.

Two tries for the Levi sisters – Teagan late in the first half and Maddison early in the second – after Faith Nathan had opened the scoring with 20 seconds on the clock – guided Australia to a 1914 win over Ireland.
