EXETER centre Henry Slade will miss the start of the upcoming Premiership season after having shoulder surgery.
He picked up the injury during the Six Nations but was able to carry on for the rest of last season and go on tour with England to New Zealand.
Slade will likely be out for three to four months. And with autumn Tests against New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Japan on the horizon, he will hope for a speedy recovery.
“We were aware that there was a slight issue, as were England, and it has slightly worsened throughout the summer tour,” Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter said.
