IN what is first for rugby in England, North Rugby hosted a State of Origin style game between a select side from Regional 1 NW and NE respectively. It was a day where history was made and one which West’s match winner Joe Byrne will never forget.
Held at Manchester Rugby Club, the game was played in front of more than 500 watching supporters from far and wide.
