Gone but still winning. Sort of! London Irish may have met with a sad demise this time last year but the club’s 125th anniversary history has just won the best illustrated book category at the prestigious Charles Tyrwhitt Sports Awards luncheon at the Oval. Lifelong Exiles fan Paddy Lennon, in conjunction with Vision Sports Publishing, managed to complete the project in the teeth of an unfolding disaster at the club and a splendid testament it is to everybody who played for and loved the Exiles.
