LONGLEVENS held off a fierce second half fightback to win the Counties 1 Championship. The Griffins were 20-7 ahead at half-time but the Cheshire side came out with renewed vigour and pushed Longlevens all the way.
Longlevens scored their first try on nine minutes. Patient build-up play allowed James Butler to weave through the defence and go over before Matt Smith punished a poor kick with a fine run-in to make it 12-0.
