Dream Team with Mackenzie Martin

The and back row, chooses the best XV he has played with or against…

1. Rhys Carre – The Big Red! The way he carries the ball into contact is next level, not many players never mind props can do that. Brilliant for Cardiff and Wales. Another underrated player is Cardiff ‘s Corey Domachowski who is known as ‘Doma Kebab’.

2. Dan Sheehan – The hooker is one of the best all-round players I’ve been fortunate enough to play against. Liam Belcher is another hooker who is a great leader and hits his lineouts every time.

3. Keiron Assiratti – One of the most underrated props right now, don’t think he gets the recognition he deserves and he’s great for the changing room at Cardiff. An honourable mention goes to Nepo Laulala, one of the all-time greats.

4. Cameron Woki – lock possesses unbelievable agility and great speed for a second row, while also being one of the best in the lineout.

5. One of the hardest workers I know on and off the pitch. Gets through an unreal amount of work. Hard hitter. Awful chat off the pitch but great Welsh captain.

6. Alex Mann – Another real grafter for Cardiff and Wales. Just puts his body in front of anyone and anything. Real dog, who is a great guy as well. I learnt a lot from him. Also known as Manny.

7. Thomas Young – The amount of jackals this man gets should be illegal. Fastest forward alive. Class for the Cardiff changing room as he’s one of the funniest players I know.

8. Alex Dombrandt – Extremely good carrier of the ball and always makes gainline with his blistering pace for a back row. Important player for in years to come.

9. Tomos Williams – The most creative player I’ve ever played with. Can create something out of noting. A player that has always helped me get better. Special mention to Antoine who is one of the best players in the world.

10. Thomas Ramos – Played against him twice when he was at 10 and he ran the show both times. He has a great side step… just ask Owen Lane haha!

11. Mason Grady – The biggest winger I know. Strong defensively and a big ball carrier who relishes the big collisions. Also known as ‘Greenwood’.

12. Bundee Aki – Nothing needs to be said just a great, great player for Ireland who can hurt you with or without the ball. Another oustanding .

13. Rey Lee Lo – One of the most intelligent and experienced players I’ve played with. Another who is great for the changing rooms and training at Cardiff. Tough as nails.

14. Damian Penaud – The best winger in the world right now, such a devastating finisher with his jet like pace. Honourable mentions to Josh Adams and Rio Dyer who are real grafters.

15. Cameron Winnet – Never seen him have a bad game. Every level he has played at he’s always flourished and had a very good Six Nations. Also known as ‘Littler’. can create something out of nothing and has the best goose step.
