Wallaby star Izaia signs for Tigers

ON THE BLINDSIDE

LEICESTER have signed Australia centre Izaia Perese for the 2024-25 season on a ‘multi-year’ deal from Sydney-based Waratahs. The 26-yearold former rugby league winger was converted to centre after joining Waratahs from Bayonne in 2021.
Perese, below, played for Queensland Reds and Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League before joining Bayonne. He was in Eddie Jones’ Wallabies squad for the 2023 World Cup.
