Stu Townsend’s new year resolution is to stay fit after an unlucky run with injuries has left him spending more time in the treatment room than on the pitch in recent seasons.
The Exeter scrum-half's misfortune was summed up last season when three weeks in to the campaign he suffered a shoulder injury that ruled him out of action until the final month.
The 28-year-old will not be changing the way he plays despite his long list of injuries over the years, adopting the same attitude as the Wales fullback JPR Williams who died last week at the age of 74.
