DESPITE being Bristol’s most historic club, Clifton are resolutely focused on the future and are driven by a vision of becoming the most successful amateur team in the area.
Clifton, founded in 1872 at the still-standing Kings Arms on Blackboy Hill, celebrated their 150th anniversary last year. However, after narrowly missing out on promotion to National One, director of rugby Matt Salter has this season shifted the emphasis to development.
