SURELY it up to the players to know the laws of the game and the referee to enforce them. Therefore, referee Adam Leal in last Saturday’s Leicester v Bath game was right in timing out the kicker. If the kicker cannot count then it should be up to another member of the team to guide him – not the referee.
Didn’t all kickers watch the World Cup and Owen Farrell? Players please be responsible for your own actions.
