Domestic structure in need of review

MANY seem to believe reaching the semi-finals was sufficient, but given the resources available, England should be consistently in the top two or three in the world.
Their international record over the past year or two has been totally unacceptable.
With four of the top dozen or so clubs in England going bust, a post mortem is urgently needed which goes well beyond looking at issues such as player and coaches’ performances at the World Cup.
There needs to be a root and branch post mortem of the whole domestic structure. A structure in which players are expected to go...
