THE main media centre in Paris is located at Roland Garos the mecca of French tennis and home of the French Open. In the press room is a photographic tribute to French journalist Denis Lalanne, who covered the world’s premier clay court tournament for Figaro and L’Equipe from 1954 to 1990. There is an award given to the writer of the best French language press article written during the French Open each year named in his honour.
