ALMOST half the players in the Premiership earn between £50,000 and £150,000 with outside-halves the best paid and hookers the worst, Premiership Rugby’s latest salary cap report reveals.
It covers the 2021-22 season, the one before three Premiership clubs collapsed under a debt pile, and shows the total cash spend for the season, covering the senior and academy salary caps, was £100m, almost £6m up from the year before.
