AN incredibly stopstart encounter took place between two sides desperately in need of a win.
Loughborough got off to a strong start with a try from Jack Haythornthwaite on debut before Bournville hit back with a penalty.
This start from the Students continued with two tries from the excellent Connor Cross along with Yande Nkonge, taking them into a 24-3 lead. Unfortunately at the end of the first half there was a long delay as Cross had to receive treatment before going off into an ambulance.
