JAMES Preston proved the hero of the hour by landing a penalty with the last kick of the game to secure victory for Chester.
In a match which was dominated by the vertical rain throughout, Preston’s points helped his side win by the narrowest of margins.
Both sides struggled to hold on to the ball and the line-out was largely a lottery, so it was a struggle to put together coherent passages of play.
