STORTFORD took the Hertfordshire bragging rights with a hard fought win over OA. A hot afternoon at Woollams and many changes of personnel will have given both coaching staffs plenty to think over before the season starts.
Stortford got out the blocks fast and found themselves 12-0 up after 15 minutes with tries from a rolling maul and 5m lineout scored by Henry Peck and Ryan Jackson. OA levelled with tries from Alex Ricci and Kemp Price both finishing off good handling moves.
Austin Price went over for Stortford, Connor Lloyd converted to make it 19-12 at the break....
