THE WRU is introducing a restriction on the height of the tackle allowed in the community game in Wales in a two-year trial with an aim to increase safety.
Earlier this year the RFU announced a similar move for community clubs in England.
The Welsh men’s Premiership and competition involving the four professional regions will be exempt from the trial, but all leagues below that – including schools, college and university games – will be included.
