CLIFTON’S title hopes were all but ended last week when they crashed to a 24-14 home defeat to leaders Leiceter Lions.
It was a hangover from the previous week when a dramatic finish saw Clifton pipped 27-26 by Dings Crusaders in the Bristol derby. While Clifton remain second in the National Two West standings, they are now 16 points adrift of the Lions and No.8 Bradley Talbot admits it’s the end of their promotion aspirations.
