SCARLETS and Scotland back row Blade Thomson has retired due to a head injury. The New Zealand-bor n 32-year-old joined from Hurricanes in 2018. His ancestry gave him the chance to play for Scotland, making his debut before the 2019 World Cup and going on to make 10 caps.
He said: “I’m proud of what I’ve achieved, making more than 50 appearances for the Scarlets and having the honour of representing Scotland.”
