WORCESTER have now accepted the inevitable: they must start next season in the second tier of English rugby after failing in their bid to secure a “no fault redundancy” reprieve from the governing body. Wasps also had their appeal rejected and will, as things stand, join their fellow Midlanders in relegation purgatory.
So far, so predictable. What we do not know is what the Premiership will look like next term (which, it is worth reminding ourselves, is not terribly far distant). Crikey, what a shambles.
