I THOROUGHLY agree with the letter on October 30 that drop-goals should not be worth more than three points.
And I feel that a devaluation of the penalty to two points would be appropriate. Not only is a drop-goal more difficult than a place kick but that a penalty gives the advantage of choice to kick for goal or positional advantage. Furthemore, a serious infringement will attract red or yellow cards and thus the loss of a player!
