OPTIMISTIC Peter Winterbottom says he is encouraged by the character of his Esher side – and believes they are on the verge of securing their first victory of the season.
The newly-promoted Surrey club had lost all nine of their National One games before yesterday, yet head into next weekend’s week lay-off with seven bonus points to their name.
