The England players should recognise that the majority of their supporters dislike the petty gamesmanship it involves.
It not only demeans the standards and standing of those representing the national team, it also detracts from their focus on the pitch.
Why rush in to pat a prop on the back after a scrum penalty rather than be on your toes, onside, for a tap-and-go which could put you over the opposition line?
