CONDITIONS at Magnolia Road were ideal for fast, open rugby and that is exactly what a large crowd was treated to.
Sevenoaks went ahead with a pair of penalties from Benjamin Adams but some fierce forward play from Rochford saw big Christopher Shields crash over for a try in the 29th minute before Adams replied with another penalty in the 35th.
Both teams showed strong defensive and fast running and Rochford did well to keep the skilful and disciplined Kent outfit at bay.
