LEICESTER Lions extended their unbeaten start to the season with a convincing home win over Newport (Salop).
Newly-promoted Newport played with the slope in the first half, with the wind at their backs. They sprinted out of the blocks, driving Lions back for George Boughey to go over after two minutes.
